T20 World cup 2021 shifted to United Arab Emirates and Oman

The biggest event of cricket this year, ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2021 will be held in October and November. First it was showcased in India but due to hectic situation of COVID-19 in India, shifted to United Arab Emirates and Oman.

Second wave in India is quite fatal and in these circumstances it is unlikely to be happened in this way.

The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) will remain the host of the event, which will be held now across four venues. The four venues of the ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2021 will be Dubai International Stadium, Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the Sharjah Stadium, and the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.

The upcoming ICC event will be the first after the 2016 T20 World Cup, when West Indies beat England in India.

The eight teams competing in the qualifying stage are Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Namibia, Oman and Papua New Guinea.

After qualifiers, the playoffs fixtures will be played among top qualifying teams and the final will be held on 14 November.
