Watford 2-3 Arsenal:
Arsenal challenged Wexford on Vicarage Road, with Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli won 3-2
Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Watford reinforced their hopes of a 4th place in the Premier League as Sakayo Bukayo played a terrific five-goal match.
Martin Odegaard finished with a stunning goal in the 5th minute and Watford’s Cucho Hernandez added another in the 11th minute through an amazing header.
Moussa Sissoko’s late reaction left the Gunners on target, but Gabriel Martinelli came to the top of the box half an hour later and Gabriel Martinelli ended the match with a sweet three-point lead from outside the box.
Arsenal climbed to fourth in the Champions League for the first time since 2016 ahead of their derby clash with Manchester City late on Sunday.
Welford took the lead 17 seconds later, but Emmanuel Dennis was a narrow passer who took the lead early in the game, and Odegaard finished neatly with his left foot and left foot with his left foot.
The Hornets needed only six minutes to respond when they saw Kiko Femonia’s right-wing cross to give Aaron Ramsdale a few chances.
After Ramsdale almost parried Denis’s shot to Joao Pedro, Arsenal took back the lead when Saka curled a shot into the top corner of Alexandre Lacazette’s back.
