Leicester are aiming to avoid a repeat of last season’s top-four heartbreak, when they lost their final two matches and dropped out, with Chelsea qualifying for the UCL instead.
One of those defeats came against Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester host Spurs on the final day this season on 23 May.
But, they prepare to face Chelsea having beaten them in Saturday’s FA Cup final and are undefeated in their last six Premier League matches against them. They also won this season’s reverse fixture at Spurs.
If either team lose at Stamford Bridge they would be at the mercy of in-form Liverpool, who could overtake them with a fourth straight win at Burnley on Wednesday.
A draw in west London would keep Leicester out of Liverpool’s reach but would leave Chelsea vulnerable.
Spurs and West Ham United remain in contention for a top-four finish but cannot afford to drop any more points. If Chelsea or Liverpool win in midweek, Spurs and West Ham would be out of the running.
