After New Zealand Cricket Team’s sudden departure from Pakistan due to some ambiguous threat, another huge disappointment for Pakistan and cricket lovers around the globe.

England called off its tour before an important outing of the T20 WorldCup 2021 held in Dubai this year to the mental and physical well being of their cricketers ahead of the mega event of this year.

Fans around the globe and particularly attached with the Pakistan Cricket Team are in real disappointment. Last week, the sudden and sad episode of the New Zealand Cricket Team’s short outing in Islamabad still put an ache in their hearts. After the cryptic information received by the New Zealand government, the New Zealand Cricket Team called off its Pakistan tour just before the 1st One Day International at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on 17th September.

The England men’s team was supposed to play two T20Is in Pakistan ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 on 13 and 14 October in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The women’s team was to tour Pakistan simultaneously for a limited-overs series comprising two T20Is and three ODIs.

However, Englan Cricket Board have decided to withdraw its teams from the tour. “The ECB has a longstanding commitment to tour Pakistan as part of the Men’s Future Tours Programme in 2022,” their official website statement.

Further stated that:

“We understand that this decision will be a significant disappointment to the PCB, who have worked tirelessly to host the return of international cricket in their country. Their support of English and Welsh cricket over the last two summers has been a huge demonstration of friendship. We are sincerely sorry for the impact this will have on cricket in Pakistan and emphasise an ongoing commitment to our main touring plans there for 2022.”
